Dreadful remake with none of the charm of the original. The sets, costumes and props are a feast for the eyes for anyone who loves Art Deco. Unfortunately, despite Dame Judi’s presence, this is the only positive in a ham fisted and ham acted shambles. Those who don’t know the original with the incomparable Margaret Rutherford should seek it out for a truly delightful experience.
