I'm gonna start by saying I like the idea of a show themed around financial issues and debt. I think it was quite a creative idea and might teach a lesson kids could benefit from. However this show is just shockingly bad. There's canned laughter over nearly every line of dialogue, the acting is terrible, the jokes are stereotypical and unfunny in any age and it just feels like very little effort was put in. It's basically one of them really irritating shows constantly playing in the background when the kids are off school and giving you a headache.

Personally, I think this is a great show for children. I love how it focuses on a single parent family, which is something Disney previously lacked, and how it deals with serious issues in a light hearted way. The show implicitly teaches a lot of valuable lessons too. However I wouldn't go as far as saying the characters are great role models, as they do make some terrible decisions! I feel as though there are a couple of areas that could have been better. A lot of the jokes and characters are too exaggerated, especially Ollie, who comes out with some bizarre lines that don't make much sense. Also, here and there the level of acting does seem to drop a bit; almost as if the actors put no effort into the scene. However in my opinion the positives outweigh the negatives and it's definitely worth having a watch if you're young. I wouldn't rely on the trailers and clips as they do make it look "trashy." Just watch from the beginning and you'll understand the depth of the story and why this show is so unique.

Overall I do find this show entertaining, relatable, heartwarming and funny. However the first and second seasons in my opinion aren't worth watching. The acting is terrible and none of the plot lines make sense. However Season 3 onwards is a huge improvement. The storylines are way more intriguing and the acting improves.The show also begins to portray real life issues such as PTSD and same sex relationships which is incredible to see in a tween show. Watch from Season 3 onwards. You'll grasp the plot easily and you'll also have an enjoyable show. And it's free!
