I enjoyed watching The Secret Lives of Bees; I haven't read the book, so I won't try to compare the two.
SLOB is, mostly, a "quiet" movie, and a coming of age movie - not for everyone, I suppose, but a good movie if you like the genre.
The acting, direction and cinematography are all top notch.
