The first two parts are absolutely tedious. Soooo much talking, banter, goofing around, (mostly by John, who was high as a kite nearly the entire time).
Paul and John are obviously very 'tight' and don't criticize each other - EVER - in front of the others.
Paul is a control freak, but in a very passive-aggressive way. Things seem to end up his way, all the time.
John's stoned antics are non-stop, unfunny, and completely disruptive even when they would FINALLY make some progress on one of the songs, he would interrupt or talk over everyone else trying to get some progress made in order to be 'funny'. It was disrespectful and dismissive.
George seems like he wants to settle down and get some stuff done. But you can tell that even in rehearsals George is very much not considered a priority talent in that group. He is often ignored.
At one point he actually "quits" and walks out for several days!
Ringo was quiet. Very quiet. There were times he didn't look 'well' but he never lost his patience. The patience of a freakin' SAINT, dealing with hours, days, and weeks of non-productive nonsense from John and Paul.
Even well into the last endless installment, you never hear one single song hammered out from beginning to end. Not one. Not until they were playing on the rooftop in the last 1/4 of part 3. Everything before that was choppy, disorganized, and boooorrrrrring.
At the end when you hear several of the songs from the rooftop you have to wonder... when did they ever finish that one? They played well and were really "together" on the rooftop songs that all made the album. But it was almost like there had to be 2 hours of real 'work' missing from what you heard of these songs for the first 200 hours to where they were singing on the rooftop. Didn't even seem real...
