An exceptionally lazy effort in storytelling with no investment in developing characters or getting the audience to care about anything that happens in the movie. All we learn is that the main character doesn't care about anyone and is incapable of displaying any emotional quality, other than self-absorption. An exceptionally slow movie with lots of time dwelling on closeups of angsty faces, but no effort to reveal what the angst is for. If you want to waste 2 hours of your life watching a movie that leaves you feeling disappointed and uninterested in why you were watching those characters, this is the movie for you!

Much better than Episode 8, in which Rian Johnson almost single-handedly ruined the franchise. This one was maybe a bit too rushed in the beginning, but once they got back to the Rey-Kylo story the pace improved a lot. A lot more of the classic Star Wars story and character arcs, and a lot of "easter eggs" throughout. Not mind-blowing cinema, but fun and a nice way to close the Tri-trilogy.
