The game needs a difficulty option in settings, and a save option for those that cannot grind like others. It takes a considerable amount of time to collect the artifacts, consumables, and lastly the appropriate weapon of choice, and it can be immediately wiped out entirely by one locked room filled with a copious amount of enemies. If Housemarque can provide this for the fans who need it, I will give the game 5 stars, because other than those two issues the game is amazing and visually astounding.
Update- Until Housemarque can implement a system where the user can save their progress during a cycle, and also provide casual gamers the option to lower the difficulty, I cannot recommend this game. I have uninstalled the game, and as of right now I truly regret spending the 80 dollars for this game.
Recent update- I previously had the game at two stars, but after a few weeks, I decided to give the game another try, and slowly but surely I gradually started to get better. I am happy I did, because once you become more comfortable and aware of the enemies and their attacks, and learn about the various artifacts, consumables, and parasites and their purpose, the game becomes easier and extremely fun! I gave the game four stars now, primarily because I still feel Housemarque needs to provide multiple options for the entire gaming community, that start with implementing a difficulty setting, along with an auto save or manual save option. Other than that, I can honestly say that I would recommend this game!
