Frank Rooney

It was a harsh decision to end Deadwood after only three series. The writing was ambitious, and it succeeded; the characters engaging, and the acting brilliant. The movie is a welcome epilogue, and the legacy of the series is not diminished by it. I would have loved to see a whole new bunch of episodes, but the movie will need to do, and I am very grateful that it was made. It was poignant, poetic and pretty darned good.
