OVERRATED. BORING. NOT WORTH THE HYPE. Another movie for the don’t bother watching pile. Cannot believe I wasted 2 hours watching this rubbish. The movie is awfully slow and painful to sit through. The only thing going for this movie is the half decent looking cast and the acting is to a good standard. Other than that, I have no idea how this movie has received such good ratings. There is a serious lack of character development, (SPOILER ALERT) so when Doug and Claire separated, I felt no sympathy for the characters and I was not convinced by their “love” at all.

WORST MOVIE I have watched in a long time. Want a movie to laugh about how bad it is? Then this one is for you. I saw good reviews on this movie, so I thought I’d give it a watch. However, after watching it, I am seriously confused as to how this movie has received even half decent reviews, as the movie is anything but good, it is TERRIBLE. I would give this movie 0 stars, but there isn’t an option for that. The acting in this movie is so BTEC and cringeworthy, I felt I was watching a GCSE drama performance. There were parts that were supposed to be “sad” and “intense”, but the acting didn’t capture the correct mood and instead had me dying of laughter. The development of the characters was executed so poorly, (SPOILER ALERT) that when Furby died and the blonde girl started crying hysterically, I actually burst out laughing instead of feeling sympathy for the characters (I’m not sure if this was the writers intention of comical effect, or whether it was supposed to be a sad moment.) The low budget really shines in this movie, as the special effects, costumes and “fighting scenes”, reminded me of a scene you’d see on an episode of power rangers. It was honestly hilarious. Despite the movie being painful to watch, I still watched it till the end hoping for a good ending. Biggest waste of time, as it made absolutely no sense. I was confused, underwhelmed, and left with so many unanswered questions. Honestly, it felt like the writer gave up half way and decided to make up the rest as they went along. There was not one point where I felt captivated and engaged by this movie, the only thing building suspense was the music. The concept of the movie however, is very creative, but unfortunately was not pulled off properly and did not win me over in this movie.
