This book deserves so much more attention! It's an inventive, loveable story that's completely original. I've never heard a fairy tale quite like it, and for that, I adore it. Amazing world-building. It's a beautiful combination of dystopia and fantasy.
Plenty of twists and turns to keep things interesting. The time skips surprisingly work. I usually hate them and find them confusing, but in this book it keeps the plot flowing.
I love all the characters and am rooting for them the whole time. Each one is unique and has a separate struggle in life. Xan in caring for the ones she loves. Luna in finding her identity. Fyrian, the "Perfectly Tiny Dragon," is so loveable! All the characters are intriguing in their own, special way.
Of course, there are flaws. For all its uniqueness, the plot can be confusing. The ending was a bit hard to read through. Don't want to spoil anything. Slightly dull for a climax, yet still heartwarming.
Overall, I loved this story. Great read. I see how its simple writing could be dull for some people, but it's still descriptive and lets you visualize the world clearly. I hope more people will read and enjoy it.
