It's just aliens visiting earth trying to communicate only and no harm.
And humans try to be a prick as usual but in the end all settled good.
No guns.
It's about communication and trade technology for advancement of both beings (a win-win situation for both humans and aliens) rather than being a dick like how humans are on earth separated by borders,religion,etc and waging useless wars.
