Frankly I hated. The plot is atrocious. Daniel Day Lewis is a good actor no doubt, but his character is a horrible psychopath who borders a hidden homosexual tendency, with his unresolved grief for his dead mother, his allowing his domeneering sister to control his life, and his despicable way he treats Alma. I can't agree with these kinds of stories now. His behavior is abusive, despicable and I am tired of these movies that show women being abused this way. Who writes these scripts anyway? Can't believe that I spent almost 2 hours watching this excruciating thing.
