This game has left a lasting impact on me. Story and social commentary aside, the late 90s aesthetic is awesome, and the way the game immerses you in its atmosphere is unmatched. To this very day, I haven't experienced another game like it in that regard. You truly feel like you're in this big, empty manor in the middle of the woods during a thunderstorm, and that's what makes it the best non-horror horror game of all time...
The fear I felt everytime I had to turn on a light in a dark room, or I heard a bump or what sounded like a door closing when I knew no one else was in the house, still gives me goosebumps now just thinking about it! If you're even slightly interested in this game, play it! If you're like me, you'll never forget it
