An amazing achievement. A must see for anyone interested in History or military history. WW1 has always been a war I could never quite connect with because its not in living history and the film of it has always been very hard to watch and connect with. Even "All Quite on the Western Front", the most important film of the war looks very dated nowdays even tho it was made in the '30s. Without question I will buy the DVD of this and treasure it. But you really must see it in theater once in 3D to get the full effect. Be warned some of the scenes are pretty gruesome. But it was a gruesome, stupid, wasteful war.
