I believe that this is a first novel, but it would a pretty good book even for an experienced author. A female astronaut returns from a mission through a wormhole to another planet without her crewmates and without any memory of how she was able to return. The plot is well-researched and reasonably realistic, and the characterizations and dialogue, particularly among the women characters, are sensitive and nuanced. I'm not a big fan of the ending, but it is just the last 10 pages or so, and I don't have any recommendations for a better ending. I was surprised how good the book is, and Lisa Nichols is an author that I will keep my eye on for the future.
