It is an excellent translation of the famous Abhidhamma Treatise. Bhikku Bodhi has presented it in a way that helps one really grasp the five aggregates construct the five aggregates of clinging and lengthen existence. It is not only a treatise of the Abhidhamma but a treatment of the entire teaching of the Buddha for one who is determined to end this long passage through existence after existence. The treatment of kamma in the section on the process-freed, following the cognitive process is an example of letting an adherent see what one reads in discourses sitting within the context of becoming aware of materiality, mind states and mental factors, and the unconditioned.
In the section on categories, the entirety of the eightfold path, the four establishments of mindfulness and the seven factors of enlightenment in addition to all the factors of awakening are dealt with comprehensively, thus taking the reading of abhidhamma away from some esoteric teaching, to the very fundamental level of guiding one towards liberation.
The final two sections on conditionality and the meditation subjects completes an excellent treatise that may serve on who is serious of making the best use of this human existence to work the utmost towards crossing to the other shore.
Much merit to Bhikkhu Bodhi and his associates for taking the elder Narada Mahathera's work to a very comprehensive guide for reference and reflection.
