I'm a huge fan of this book, because it's not only beautiful (coffee table worthy!) but it's also super interesting and fun to read. The author, Cristyle Egitto, is a local who lives in the Palm Beaches and you can tell she really knows her stuff. The book itself is the perfect size - not too big, not too small - and the covers are attractive. I especially love the sea turtle touch, since that's one of the symbols of tourism around Palm Beach (the area is known for sea turtle nesting, in particular Loggerhead sea turtles).
I actually used to work for the county's tourism bureau, and I myself still learned tons of history from reading this book. If that doesn't tell you how full of information it is, I don't know what will! And yet Cristyle manages to lay out the storytelling in a compelling and fun-to-read way. I was literally enthralled, turning page after page because I couldn't get enough. The photos in the book go along so well with each location.
I am highly impressed and think this book is perfect for anyone who has any interest in visiting Palm Beach, or if you live here and just want to know more about your hometown! The 111 locations are spread out throughout Palm Beach County, Florida, which is a perfect slice of paradise.
