Uneven and inconsistent urban drama that serves as a snapshot of the early 90s. starring Tupac before he was 2Pac, and he chews the scenery to the point of acting like an actor as opposed to being the character. Narrative is basic and takes a weird plunge midway when it was decided it was time to establish our villain. ‘Hood’ films are beloved for some reason, which is fine, but a good film this is not.
