Just went to see it with a friend, and wow, this movie definitely exceeded my expectations! For everyone who didn’t enjoy it, I do understand what you are saying. You all have valid points, but you cannot deny that this is better than expected. The CGI is done surprisingly well, and doing this with video game characters is quite difficult. None of the Pokémon are really creepy or irritating, except for maybe ditto at the end. In fact some of them look cool to watch on screen. The story isn’t anything spectacular but there are quite a few plot twists. Despite what people say, there are in fact points in the movie that leave you on the edge of your seat. While at times it can be predictable who is the villan, you never know exactly how it will unfold and the way it happens is quite interesting. Overall, this is a great family movie weather you’re a Pokémon fan, young or old, teen, (like myself) or not even that interested in Pokémon, there’s something to enjoy here for everyone.
