Labyrinthine narratives desperately need engaging leads so as not to make the whole affair an exposition dump of gobbledygook. In Lynch and Redmayne we have two incredible actors and I just watched the first five in a row, couldn't get enough. OK some developments are a little too signposted, but that can also provide pay off pleasure! Great soundtrack also.

Presented with tantalising jigsaw pieces that never coalesce, I was on the edge of my seat until the conceit evaporated. Ironically, this film is a dead end.

Compelling narrative, but with thinly sketched characters. You kinda get their motivations, mainly by remembering the motivations of similar, but better versions from other films. The reveal is rewarding though, so overall recommended.

It came from the deep! Which is apt for a film with such depth, where the emotions will rise and rise inside you as you watch, washing over you with excitement, awe, laughter and finally with salt water in your eyes. My Godzilla, this is great.

Ironically a misfire. There's languid and then there's boring. I'm afraid this is the latter.

This felt amateur. Absolutely nothing new. Surprised how cheap everything looked. Stenberg and Jung-jae were impressive and the only reason I didn't switch off, but I won't be switching back on again.

Silly, goofy, surreal, nostalgic, but with a barbed wit that underpins any self regard. OK, a few gags crash with a wince, but the ones that stick are stickier than the filling of any tart. Jerry's also a talented director. Which shouldn't surprise me with his skill of set up and pay off honed over decades. This film made me feel happy.

These days things are either utterly rubbish or mind blowingly amazing, according to the internet anyway. Ahsoka is neither, it's just OK. It's a neat trick to be mesmerised and bored simultaneously. The show looks stunning, a work of art, but we're just watching the paint dry. It's only two episodes in though, let's hope they pick up the pace.

Expectations were pretty low, as the socials and MSM seem determined to see this film fail. Wasn't gonna bother, but had two hours free. And it's brilliant! Harrison still has it, Nazis always the best bad guys, utterly bonkers final third and a sweet coda. Recommended.
