The main characters are mostly objects who talk: a mailbox, a sidetable, a family of spices, two sandbox toys, a clock, and a bar of soap... plus two non-object characters: a human host (either Steve or Joe) and a dog named Blue. This might make Blue's Clues sound ridiculous, but it's the execution, the attention to detail, the great voice acting of all the characters, and likability of the hosts that make this show so good and memorable. Both the old and new episodes make for good, low-drama TV for any young kid, and any parent who's tired of loud, in-your-face kid shows that just want to sell toy cars. I'm looking at you, Paw Patrol and Ricky Zoom. I've yet to check out the Blue's Clues reboot... fingers crossed it's good!
