Mark Green

Really enjoyed the first three episodes but now it's beginning to drag. There simply is not enough story to justify 10 episodes. The writing is hugely inconsistent. Sometimes it is great at creating tension. Other times it has characters making dramatic statements but then going into moody silence when other characters ask them for details of what is happening. This could have been great as a movie or a four part mini series but sadly it is another case of quantity over quality.

This is a very underrated show. All of the lead actors are wonderful in their roles but it's the writing that shines the most. The first four seasons are all highly entertaining. The show does deteriorate slightly after season four when one of the lead actors leaves the show. However overall the show is brilliant.
