I so miss this outstanding show! This and Dark have been my absolute must watch! The ensemble, the production, attention to the period, atmosphere, cinematography! This show needs to be awarded major accolades for performance, costume, all mentioned categories! I love period programmes, particularly based on true events and history! I found this through browsing therefore I was disappointed that it was not promoted and given the proper publicity it rightly deserves! I am desperate for the next series and await its return impatiently. Huge void without it therefore me thinks I will re watch this Epic masterpiece!

A standout Series with complexity, riveting performances by the entire ensemble! If you are tired of being spoon fed plots, weak acting, predictable storylines then this will wake you up! The twists and turns leave you dizzy and wanting more. The best series I have seen in a very long time! Sets and sequences are stunningly accurate for the period. This is a gem and deserves a lot more publicity than many mundane copycat dramas that are a yawn fest! I cannot recommend this enough...I feel like my brain has been re energized and I love how it challenges my thinking. Give it a go...you will not be disappointed if you crave intelligent writing, and sensitive performances....a winner!
