Honestly, Doki Doki Literature Club is the most odd, terrifying but enjoyable dating sim i've ever played.
This game is very interesting, the very first time I played it I was excited for the scary part of the game. This game sent chills crawling down my spine! I gave this 5 stars because I enjoyed it very much. I love how you can choose your own character to impress and make poems with words that describe them or what they like. The best part about this game is how it was so friendly at the beginning but after what happens to Sayori it gets darker and terrifying. This game is wholesome!! My rate about the characters:
Sayori: Very nosy and funny 9/10
Yuri: Intelligent and pretty. 10/10
Natsuki: FILLED WITH CUTESY 999/10
Monika: VERY BEAUTIFUL. BEST GIRL 2000/10
The part where you have to decide who you will help before the festival had me struggling to pick, so I attempted to choose Monika, but it wasn't fair to Natsuki And Yuri. I chose Natsuki.
The true meaning of Monika's first poem:
The poem "Hole in the wall" At first I didn't get what it meant and now I get it.
Basically she sees the only way to look out (probably) there is a very small and long hole, but Monika struggles to look inside the hole.. it was too long and small but too bright. She realizes that she is not the one looking IN the screen.. She was looking out the screen, she knew that the player behind the screen is looking in.
Monika's "Hole in the wall" Poem:
Hole in the wall
It couldn't have been me.
See, the direction the spackle protrudes.
A noisy neighbor? An angry boyfriend? I'll never know. I wasn't home.
I peer inside for a clue.
No! I can't see. I reel, blind, like a film left out in the sun.
But it's too late. My retinas.
Already scorched with a permanent copy of the meaningless image.
It's just a little hole. It wasn't too bright.
It was too deep.
Stretching forever into everything.
A hole of infinite choices.
I realize now, that I wasn't looking in.
I was looking out.
And he, on the other side, was looking in.
The soundtrack rate:
I love the soundtrack
I guess that's all..!
