I can’t count how many times I’ve watched this film. Between this and Jeremiah Johnson are two films with a more accurate depiction of life in those times.

OMG! Watched in 2 sittings. Learned to play basic chess as kid. Watching this makes me want to dust off the stone board and relearn. Really enjoyed the story, acting, the chess. Orthopedic surgery recovery time very well spent!

Having lived and worked in the Arctic, I do have issues with the outdoor scenes, storms, clothing worn and surviving after an ice break-up. Can’t producers EVER get the depiction correct??? Decent enough for background noise while knitting.

Love this show! Vikings wasn’t the same without Travis Fimmel’s Ragnar but I have continued to watch the show. It took me awhile to watch The Last Kingdom as I believed it to be a knockoff. This show stands quite well on it’s own, the scenery is breathtaking, costumes are pretty good and I love the actors. Dreymon is as charismatic as Fimmel. It’s in their eyes.

Have watched this movie multiple times. It does not have a happy ending, in fact. it is quite disturbing in showing how “hatred” is passed down generation to generation. To me, it shows the idiocy of politics. The Middle East issues have been occurring for hundreds and hundreds of years, only the weapons are changing. Watch Lawrence of Arabia for a refresher course.
