Worst movie I have seen this year. Surprisingly bad, but not in one of those so-bad-its-good cult classic ways. So bad I had to look up who wrote it to see if he/she was related to someone powerful in Hollywood because it was the only way it made sense this would get made. Every single frame of the movie is derivative of better movies. It's not paying homage to them, just straight up ripping them up but in a new mash up. Even that would be fine -- I don't set high standards for high budget action adventure films. Except the writing is just so lazy. Most movies attempt at least a weak justification for their improbability as long as you suspend your disbelief. This movie kept challenging that by not even trying. Every plot point was premised on either not bothering to explain how something could have happened or having an excuse so dumb that it takes you out of the the movie because you are expected to believe characters they portray as super competent are interchangeably so incompetent that they shouldn't be able to get their shoes on.
