I've been a fan of monster hunter from the very first game back in 2004, and have put in close to 4000 hours into the games.
This movie holds true to the games with big monster, death and destruction. If you are expecting MH to be this mind blowing film then you are in for a bad time.
If you are looking for a movie with big monsters, tons of action and learning about the monster hunter history then you will enjoy this film.
Spoilers ahead
To all the people complaining about the Rathalos being on the same tier as the black diablos you need to go back and read up on the game again. back in 2004 Rahtalos was one of the last bosses of the game, and if you follow the games you learn that the Ancient people who controlled the tower made changes to the DNA of the monsters who guarded the tower. Which is how silver Rathlos came into the game . so yes not all of them are as strong as elders but some did have the power to match them.
To all my monster hunter family I will see you in March for Monster hunter Rise :-)
