Tom Futcher

I absolutely loved this movie. It depends on your taste of course but for me it delivered exactly what I wanted. Gritty, cruel adventure in the magnificent setting of the West high country. Fantastic performances and authenticity. The sort of movie I will watch again and again.

As others have said, this movie was really well made. The one big flaw I found was that it lacked dramatic quality. It was rather flat. Aside from the initial storm setback, the only other black spot was the explosion from the garden, destroying his crop. The rest of the time everything was cheery and lacked tension. If it had better explored human emotion and struggle it would have been much better.
