the book was a slog to listen to.... I would say a good 50% of the book was spent talking about the rhythms and how the fused and everybody used sound to convey emotion. I get that sound was a central part of the plot, but dear Lord I really don't want to hear about it for 20 hours. All in all, the story plot did not advance that far and I'm not really sure I'm interested in listening to or reading the next volumes in the series

Fantastic movie - I was sad that it ended and really wanted more NOW. If you like amazing battle scenes, fighting, a pretty epic story that continues to develop throughout the entire movie, then this is for you. Yeah, there are some hokey parts, but they aren't repeated or torturous - but they do help set up story. It is a bad-ass movie and well worth the money I spent Please go see this movie - help make the sequel!!
