Rosita Valladares

I'm giving it two stars for Helen Reddy's story. Tilda Godham and Evan Peters had no chemistry. The whole film was lack lustre. Tilda didn't come across as a feminist. There was no bang in the end. It was like someone singing a lollypop song. Sorry, I had wished for better. I had invited a group to enjoy this. Thank goodness the cheese platter was amazing. I loved Jordan R though. Thought he was a relief!

This movie has come at the right moment to help to understand the plight of asylum seekers. There are so many layered stories, and this film bring to light just one of them. AS have always been portrayed as terrorists and the picture painted have sown seeds of fear. Don't put yourselves in their shoes, because you will suffer unbearable pain. Allow yourselves to change your perspective, if you're unconverted. The film is very watchable and easy to follow.

O dear - I don't know what happened. Five of us came out scratching our heads (although two did like it). I'm sure Armando might have tried to create another "Death of Stalin', but something happened on the way to the forum! The stellar line up of our favourite actors missed the mark on funny. The funnies were awkward. I was praying for some sort of disturbance in the film to kill the boredom. But when it did come, it fizzled out. As was the script-writing. The concept for an excellent film was there, but not the execution. Such a shame as I am big on Dickens and Armando, and the line-up of legends is why I gave it two stars.
