I feel like once you get past the fact that the story is lackluster and the roster needs tuning (this is coming from a hardcore fe fan), what's left is a pretty solid game. Besides the AI being a pain if you don't keep nagging your units on the map screen to stick beside a certain unit, the gameplay is very interesting and most of the strategy involves a divide and conquer setting. You take over the enemy's forts and then concentrate on their main base. The main bad guy, (spoilers), is a pretty well built up character and I feel for him and love his descent when he gets possessed. There are plenty of maps to complete when you finally beat the game and many skills to grind out on your units and the supports are a little more fleshed out. The voice acting was brilliant (not as good as Echoes, but that's kinda hard to be as good) and the music puts much more vibrant twist on the fire emblem sounds we've heard before.
Overall, besides the weaknesses I mentioned before, a very good FE game with the Warriors crossed over worth your time.
