Entertaining when propelling the plot forward. Unfortunately lousy when preachy with its ‘message’ which was forced down your gullet. I fast forwarded through the doldrums called the final act and wound up thinking ‘I’m glad that was free. A shame, the bones were there.’ Sorry Spike, I don’t need your BLM propaganda all up in my grill. Some movies have subtle or coy messaging, this one was like Homey the Clown filled up his sock with a bag a nickels and was hittin’ you upside the head every three minutes. This is really a 5/10, could’ve been a 8 with less messaging and more plot. The high reviews are because the professional movie reviewers are too scared too say anything negative about anything containing a BLM message.
