It seems most people who give this show a negative review, complain how its not bob's burgers and that there's too many songs, despite the fact that its a musical and yes indeed it isn't bob's burgers. While they use the same style of character design for many of the people on the show, its clearly just so that people will recognize it and give the show a try. Its purely marketing. However the soft painted look of the backgrounds with their uneven pencil lines, more fluid central character animation, quicker changes of the camera angles and settings, and actually good songs, this show clearly has a higher budget being put into it's production. The story, characters, and humor are all good, not great, but not bad. The ideas for the stories felt lack luster and not fully developed. Normally there are no bad ideas, just bad execution. This is a rare case of wonderful execution with a lack of ideas.
