I first saw this movie in 1965 in Kansas City, MO. It was fantastic!! When they started playing excerpts of the music during the walk down the aisle during the wedding, I thought it was the grand finale and I thought "No, it can't end now!!" And it didn't!
As an elementary music teacher, I played the movie as a part of my curriculum. The kids loved it!! Now, every time my grandkids come to visit, we find time to watch it again.

I love this show! But I'm glad I read review on Plugged In first. He explains how he has developed back stories for the characters to help you feel like they are real people.
