* To me, it’s the best acting of Elizabeth Taylor’s career. …and Richard Burton’s performance is excellent also. With such a difficult back & forth dialogue, the characters so brutal and scathingly bombastic to each other. In the end, you realize the real love between George and Martha, in a compassionate way.
