Spoiler alert
The movie is decent. It’s not the world’s worst movie but it’s also not the best. The Main character Raya (Kelly Marie Tran) is way too trusting at the beginning, but after her new “best friend” Namaari (Gemma Chan) whom she met for only a few hours betrays her she suddenly gains tons of trust issues. It’s also pretty embarrassing how a group of adults couldn’t act more mature and just talk it out, but instead fight over the gem like children. It was also pretty confusing how they still fought over the gem when they should've known that the gem being together was the only thing stopping the drunes. And I’d think they know that the gem is the only thing keeping them safe from the drunes.
The plot is extremely cliche and almost everything was super predictable, one of the things that weren’t was how Raya followed Suzu's (Awkwafina, Nora Lum) plan, but that’s still kind of also predictable because it was like a "friendship is everything" type of thing.
The acting was ok. There wasn't much acting because it was an animated movie and the animation was pretty good. The voice acting was pretty good, good enough that there weren’t any noticeable mistakes or faults.
