As a fan of the graphic novels, I can say this show absolutely did them justice. Before it came out, I was very excited for this show but I was prepared for it to be somewhat cringey. However, it really wasn't and it exceeded all my expectations. I watched it all at once when it came out (from midnight to 3:30 A.M.) because I was absolutely hooked. It contains such powerful scenes and lines that just left me feeling so many different ways. The performances from Joe Locke and Kit Connor in the lead roles were absolutely incredible, and I was also blown away by Yasmin Finney as Elle. All the characters seemed to step right out of the graphic novel, which definitely made my little heart stop.

This show was everything I was waiting for and everything I’ve been wanting in a TV series. The representation is amazing, and something that sadly, I haven’t seen before many times in popular media. I think it’s an important show to have, not only for the LGBT community, but also for people in general to see mlm (men loving men) couples portrayed in such a realistic and accurate manner, which is not the case in most popular mlm media.
