One of the worst and most effective Trump campaign ads I've ever seen.
Jeff Daniel's Comey tries to be a stoic hero of all that is right and decent. a living embodiment of the strength and honor of our institutions, as my friend pointed out, he really just looks like he has stomach issues and isn't sure if he needs to go the the bathroom or not.
a lot of reviews will say this show is leftist propaganda, these people do not know what a leftist is and likely think Biden is a socialist. In reality this show is a centrist-lib conspiracy drama. written for people who assume anyone who backed Bernie in the primary is a "Russian Troll:"
(interestingly, Bernie's name is mentioned exactly twice in a show about the 2016 election)
the cast can be evenly divided into 2 categories, the establishment and the Maga crowd. every actor who represents the establishment delivers their lines robotically, self-seriously and in a bad impression of Sorkin's "A, B, A" style dialogues. one can see the actors waiting for their line as opposed to reacting to the other characters. The MAGA crowd however consistently deliver compelling entertaining acting.
after watching this, if I was actually on the fence between voting Trump or Biden (a type of voter I honestly don't believe exists.) I would cast my ballot for the former.
