If you're expecting a Jim Carrey remake, THIS IS NOT IT. It's more aligned with the original 60's show. Therefore I quite liked this one. The soundtrack is great, lots of familiar Xmas tunes and music from the original. I enjoyed the side stories of WHY the Grinch is grinchy, and Cindy Lou's single mom. My only disappointments were that Mr. Cumberbatch's voice wasn't quite smarmy enough, and that the animation was all done in France. I can't imagine it was cheaper to do there.
