I feel like this is from the lense of a man, which is why it touches on just the surface of the issues women are faced with, black women are so much deeper and complex than the Nola character. Sexuality and intimacy means so much more. Spike Lee missed the mark on this one for me. Soundtrack is great and concept is wonderful the story should have been told by a black woman.
