I am south korean. I watched this film through Netflix. Firstly, I would like to thank all people who starred in this film. Thanks to you, I could enlarge my knowledge and understanding of world war. In the perspective of Dutch's resistance against Germany in 1944, it reminds me of our history. My country used to be one of colonies of Japan for 35 years and this is darkest part of history in peninsula. As you know, my country has been divided due to many reasons and we want to become united as Germany did last time. It seems evident that if two koreas become one, korea will be much more powerful in every aspect and competitiveness of korea might be able to surpass that of Germany. However, we realize that it is hopeless to become like Germany or Japan even if we have enough capability to be able to conquer other countries in a violent way. Instead of model of Japan and Germany, we would rather improve our soft-power by introducing our traditional culture to foreigners. We want to induce foreigners to come to korea and learn korean for the purpose of seeking diversity, creativity and respect toward foreign cultures.
