Fury looks good and the overall effect probably is that the movie shows the claustrophobic world of a tank crew perhaps better than any other. The “duel” with an actual (real) German Tiger tank is exciting cinematic geekery but in the tight way the manuver sequence is filmed much realism -sadly- is sacrificed.
The climactic battle scene, sadly is complete hookum worthy of a “Sargeant Rock” comic book. Still, World War Ii buffs will appreciate the fine attention shown to getting all of the visual details of the weapons and equipment right for the period. The M4 Sherman tank, “Fury” of the title, should be credited, when its all said and done, for actually turning in a better performance than Shia LaBeuf.
