The first half to 2/3 was promising (with some plot problems and political propaganda I was willing to overlook) but when Strange started pulling music notes of of sheet music, I felt like I was watching Mickey in Fantasia. It started getting a little too occultish right around there, too. It seems like, conveniently, there's always a book or an artifact that was hidden all this time that is an alternate route to working around an undesirable result that can also be undone by yet another unknown heretofore book/artifact/unicorn. And what is with Cumberbatch's orientation appropriation? He's gay and stealing a straight man's role if you want to get technical.
