Wilted Wonderland

Death on the Nile is as boring as the first retelling! I adore Agatha Christie’s books and very much enjoyed the old tv shows, so when Kenneth Branagh’s retelling of murder on the orient express was first released, of course I was first in line… and left very disappointed. I wasn’t going to give Death on the Nile a chance, but with nothing else on, I thought “why not?” And again turned it off saying “why did I waste my time?” Branagh’s portrayal of Poirot is dull and somewhat annoying - I’m unsure if I feel this way because of the film or because of Branagh himself. The CGI in death on the Nile is like something from an early 2000’s film with no budget and although having quite a popular cast, the acting is sub par at best. Think I’ll stick to the books thanks!

FINALLY!!! A Christmas movie for my girlfriend and I!!! 🥰 I am so thankful for this film - my girlfriend is not the biggest fan of Christmas... she hates Christmas songs, doesn’t like candy canes, doesn’t like a Christmas film unless it’s a horror one AND I am the complete opposite. So it was a shock to me when this movie trailer popped up and my girlfriend ran over to me and actually wanted to watch a Christmas film! Her words were “Christmas! Lesbians! You and me! We watch now!” And now we have both seen it 3 times 😂 This movie is so well handled and so cutesy and queer and we just love the representation! Xx
