As someone who went to a high school where I saw these characters in real life basically, I think Euphoria shows the rawnesses and present day problems that people experience while in high school. Sure, some may think it glorifies drug use or other problems like that but I think it is showing the audience what teens nowadays are experiencing. For example, it shows the main characters struggle with going through AA, instead of her struggling with her problems on her own.
It may be graphic or a little dramatic, but this is what some teens are dealing with these days and its becoming less and less uncommon to be familiar with people who face some of these issues.
