I loved this movie so much with all of my heart and I’ll explain why by telling the reasons people hate the movie. They hate it because it’s too quick, no character, development, and no emotional attachment to the characters, (now I did feel an emotional attachment to the characters) but if you think about it, before the time period in the movie, the characters are just boring robotic slaves to the celestial and it would be even more boring to start at the beginning, this movie starts when the characters begin to evolve, and the second movie will definitely be better and explain their origins more and show their journey into finding the truth which will definitely form an emotional connection to the characters, I mean which marvel character has completely evolved in only one movie? I mean honestly this movie is trillions of times better than one with a bunch of robots serving a celestial but instead shows the characters finding the truth, this movie wasn’t supposed to be the only one, there will be more and you’ll love it if you watch the rest because it builds the story in the most perfect way. I also loved the flashbacks as it really showed the characters motivation when the rest of the movie couldn’t considering they don’t evolve. The only part I hated is Ikaris flying into the sun and killing himself, I get he loved Sirse and failed but that’s all the more reason to live, he could’ve at least died a hero by helping save them or something but instead kills himself? This was also one of the firsts marvel movies where I was anxious that they would lose, but everything up the characters, the story and how it’ll set up the rest of the story, the visuals/cgi, diversity, and quality, it was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen and I need to watch it again. I love how they fit 10 characters story into one movie especially considering that they never really had a story until now and I know it didn’t feel like a marvel movie, but it really wasn’t even supposed to feel like one, it’s supposed to be new and excited with new characters we haven’t fully formed an attachment to, it’s supposed to be the things you hate and the things you hate about it just makes it better to me. I do think the movie should’ve been half of what it was and should’ve been two movies and should’ve ended somewhere in the middle and extended half of it over the length of the one and made us love the characters and grow with them more individually but like, how can you grow with slave robots who just have fun with humanity and watch?
