Far fetched. Even for a show about space battles. I’ve been a fan of Star Wars my entire life but it’s hard to ignore moments that just do not connect. It feels as though (I’ll just refer to them as Disney for now) does not expect much from fans of Star Wars and that we will just accept non-sense they throw in front of us. They expect these things to be exciting when in reality they don’t even make sense. It’s the little nuances that tell me. The characters have no common sense and I find myself sighing throughout the entire series. Sometimes it’s best to follow a more realistic timeline than to cater to what brings the most “exciting” moments. What’s important is to make every moment feel believable, even in this made up world. It really makes me question the writers decision making behind the script (especially the script) and Episode 4 feeling like filler more than anything.
I’ve just finished episode 6 and found a few things to pull from it.
There are redeemable qualities to the show mainly being Ewan’s performance as Kenobi, and seeing what has happened between episode 3 and 4. But overall it’s felt like a bad fan fiction at best. Entertaining to watch, but a complete disappointment as a fan of Star Wars.
Hoping The final episode can bring some of this to a close, but I can’t help but feel this would have been better off as a movie.
