I am more confused with all these 5 stars than with the movie. How anyone can say that this is a good movie? It makes no sense at all. Lots of explosions, sure, but this is not a movie. I didn't see the previous episodes, but a movie needs to stand alone. The story plot is more suited for an animated cartoon (which is what this is in reality). The acting is awful, the dialogue is simply unnecessary, and the scene in which they, out of nowhere, come up with a metal glove (Iron-kong?) for King-Kong is just especially ridiculous (like the rest).

I watched part two and it manages to be far worse than part one. What a waste of money. I mean everything fails, the music, the storyline, the characters (too many, all of them recounting a sad story...). Many of the scenes are plain ridiculous. For example when this advanced technological civilization with a starship floating in the skies is going to blow up a town just behind the ship, and to point the cannon to the target they use a very little cute rotating manual wheel. So they spent more than two minutes to find the target (again just behind them). As expected the ship was destroyed before it shot. The sad part is that it is part 3 in the making. Really?

It is a good movie in my view, although less entertaining than good. I recommend you to watch it. The story you are going to watch is probably different depending on who you are. There is a story plot that flows well, the characters are very ingeniously developed and social/business life is depicted as it can (often) be. It is pretty obvious the director (and probably the writer) is a woman. However, I am not sure this movie could be viewed as an attempt to empower women. The feminine character is literally a beah and she is that since the beginning of the movie, although by then it was not so evident in her role of manipulative wife-to-be. Later on, with power, she is transformed into a man, and not of the good kind, in contrast, the male adopts a feminine (traditional) role with the loss of that power (imaginary). This relation between bearing power (a given power at the end) and acceptable behavior, regardless of sex, is interesting, although unflattering for women.

How it is possible that this movie made 1 billion dollars. Marketing? Bad news, because this opens the door to more terrible movies to come, and obviously a Barbie 2.... more toy movies perhaps from different companies. People no longer film movies, they make business It is pretty obvious, without knowing it, that the director is a female and probably the scriptwriter too. The whole movie is full of topics, sex roles from the 60s, females are better, males are stupid... but that would be bearable if the movie was not so bad, and so dam boring.

Although the photography is excellent, the plot interesting and appealing, and the acting in most cases nice, the way in which the story is told is disappointing. It looks like somebody savaged the filming cutting scenes and internal stories, making the telling of the story difficult at times PS> That so many characters speak all the time with a fake deep voice serves no purpose, Nobody spoke like that, no in the West, no in the East, no in the past, and no at the present.
