I love this story so I feel that the movie could have done better. For this Queen this person was her only real family. Given the racist views of the Emperior, this story if told right should have won Oscars. The queen was perfect but her new son needed the edge he really had in real life. He was strong in the face of racism not just gentle to his Queen, his new mother.
