This is my favorite show and I tell everyone to watch it—the creativity, talent and amazing mentors are all inspiring. However, last night’s episode with Lady Antebellum left a bad taste in my mouth. The winning songwriter’s song wasn’t just tweaked; it was completely rewritten—new title, new rhythm, new words. The only thing I recognized was the general idea and something about a twenty dollar bill. This seems to go against the whole premise of the show that it is to showcase new songwriters. Please be true and have the experts give help and guidance, but allow the novice talent to shine. Thank you!
