The point of masking a singer (in the original Korean version) is so that the singer's voice is ONLY judged by their vocal ability and NOT by their appearance. This new show completely cancels that idea by putting on OVERLY extravagant costumes on the singers and having WAY too much focus on the background dancers and scenery! Another problem with these over the top costumes is that THEY MUFFLE THE SINGER'S VOICES!!! The "masks" should just be enough to cover their face and have a thin film so their voice can still go through. But the singers are not even wearing masks, they're wearing MASCOTS THAT CONSTRICT THEIR SINGING
